General SummaryThe Next Gen Coordinator serves as the operational connector across Concord Church’s Next Gen ministries, helping translate the Next Gen Director’s vision and priorities into coordinated systems, processes, and execution across the team.This role provides direct operational support to the Next Gen Director, owns key department-wide systems, and provides additional ministry coordination where needed. Through strong organization, communication, data management, and follow-through, the Next Gen Coordinator helps the Next Gen team operate with alignment, consistency, and excellence.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role has no staff supervisory responsibilities but provides leadership, coordination, and development for the Next Gen Check-In volunteer team.Next Gen Operations & Director Support — Approximately 70%Support the Next Gen Director in translating ministry vision, priorities, and annual plans into coordinated timelines, processes, and execution across the Next Gen team.Own and manage the master Next Gen ministry calendar, coordinating dates, deadlines, and programming across ministry areas to ensure alignment, minimize conflicts, and provide team-wide visibility within priorities established by the Next Gen Director.Own and manage the Next Gen Check-In system and Check-In volunteer team, ensuring consistent, secure, and well-supported check-in environments for Preschool and Elementary ministries.Coordinate department-wide volunteer onboarding and training processes, including training schedules, certifications, documentation, and church-wide requirements in partnership with Next Gen ministry leaders.Maintain accurate Next Gen ministry data and reporting, including participation, volunteer, group, and other ministry records needed for evaluation and ministry-wide dashboards.Create and maintain registrations, forms, operational processes, checklists, timelines, and documentation that promote consistency and effective execution across Next Gen ministries.Provide financial administrative support to the Next Gen Director, including monthly budget monitoring, credit card reconciliation, expense tracking, and coordination with Finance department to ensure financial processes are completed accurately and on time.Coordinate operational support for shared Next Gen initiatives and special projects, managing logistics, timelines, communication, and administrative follow-through as assigned by the Next Gen Director.Student Ministry Coordination — Approximately 30%Support Student Ministry volunteer administration, including onboarding and training logistics, records, requirements, and shared communication, while Student Pastors retain responsibility for volunteer scheduling, development, shepherding, and leadership.Partner with the Student Pastors and Grow Group Coordinator on Grow Group administration, including group placement, rosters, leader onboarding processes, attendance, and TouchPoint data.Coordinate administrative and logistical support for major Student Ministry programs and events, including registrations, communications, forms, timelines, and follow-through.Support shared Student Ministry initiatives, including Invite Night, Back-to-School Weekend, retreats, and camps, in alignment with the assigned project lead.AdministrationAttend and successfully complete all training required by Concord Church.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Next Gen Director.Skills & CompetenciesSpiritual & PersonalA growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a lifestyle of integrity, and alignment with the mission, vision, and theological convictions of Concord Church.Alignment with Concord Church's core values — Boldness for Christ, Passion for People, Catalyst for Change, and Hunger for More — is essential for this role.A heart for the next generation — finds fulfillment in supporting the systems that help children and students grow in faith.Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive member and family information.Other CompetenciesHighly organized and reliable — the Next Gen team runs smoothly because this person follows through.Strong communicator across multiple audiences — students, parents, volunteers, and ministry staff.Collaborative and service-oriented — supports multiple leaders simultaneously without losing quality or consistency.Attends and successfully completes all training required by Concord Church.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3 years of ministry coordination or event planning and project management experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Touchpoint (preferred), and comparable ministry tools.Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.Ability to securely handle confidential information.Physical RequirementsAn employee in this position primarily works in a typical office environment, is generally sedentary, and uses computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment to draft documents, communication with church staff.An employee in this position is required to walk, hear, speak, and stand to interact with children, parents, staff, members, and volunteers.Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.The ability to manage stress, build professional, collaborative relationships, and reason through complex church business situations is required.A flexible schedule is required since this position requires evening and weekend work.
