Job summary

LKAB is seeking a Ventilation Specialist to lead R&D in mine ventilation, focusing on automation, control systems, and heating/cooling solutions. You will evaluate new tech and drive integration across LKAB’s operations, collaborating with universities, consultants, and partners.

You will work with Ventsim and Deswik, influence ventilation strategies, and contribute to performance indicators while engaging in workshops and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. level or higher in mining with emphasis on ventilation research is highly beneficial.
• Hands-on mining ventilation experience preferred over purely academic work.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to R&D initiatives in mine ventilation, focusing on automation and heating/cooling.
• Evaluate technologies and drive their integration into LKAB’s operations.
