Job summary

Coeur Rochester in Nevada is seeking a Mining Technology Systems Technician to support the IT / Mining Technology team. You’ll troubleshoot Rajant mesh radios, RF links, and site-wide Motorola systems while keeping critical mine communications up and running.

This hands-on role requires willingness to work in harsh outdoor environments, climb towers, and fix problems where they occur. It offers full benefits from day one and a pathway into advanced mining tech projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Rajant mesh radios, antennas, and RF links.
• Maintain site-wide Motorola radio system, including repeaters and tower upkeep.
• Ensure backup power and remote field infrastructure uptime.
• Contribute to foundational work for LTE and Autonomous Haulage Systems.

We're hiring a Mining Technology Systems Technician for my IT / Mining Technology team at Coeur Rochester, near Lovelock, Nevada.

This isnt a desk job. Your office is a haul truck, a radio tower site, or a dusty spot in the pit where the mesh network suddenly stopped working. The systems you look after keep the mine connected and keep people safe, so youll be fixing things that really matter.

What you'll be working on:

• Rajant mesh radios, antennas, and RF troubleshooting
• Our site-wide Motorola radio system: repeaters, programming, and ground-level tower upkeep (contractors do the climbing)
• Backup power and remote field infrastructure that has to stay up
• Building the foundation for whats next, like LTE and Autonomous Haulage Systems.

You'll do well here if you:

• Like hands-on troubleshooting more than sitting at a desk
• Know your way around two-way radios, cabling, and basic RF
• Dont mind heat, cold, wind, and dust (its Nevada)
• Bonus points for MOTOTRBO/APX, Rajant, sweep testing, or mining/industrial experience
