Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mining/geotechnical consulting, strong writing and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 50% for field work and project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or geology field.
• Minimum 5 years of mining/geotechnical consulting experience.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and client communications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage mining, geological, geotechnical, and multidisciplinary projects from planning to completion.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resources.
• Plan and oversee field investigations, drilling, explorations, mapping & construction observation.
• Prepare and review technical reports, analyses, specifications, work plans, and permits.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
• Support proposals, scope development, and business development initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers, geologists, and field staff.
• Collaborate with Schnabel offices across disciplines.
• Support mine reclamation, abandoned mine lands, hazards, and infrastructure projects.
• Travel to project sites for field activities as needed.
