Job summary

Kinross is seeking an E&I Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize process control systems for the mill and filter plant in Washington State. You will work with Operations and Maintenance to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement, applying expertise in automation, instrumentation, and controls.

The role emphasizes safe practices, accurate documentation, and collaboration with multiple teams to improve system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance in mining, milling, or heavy industrial environments.
• Journeyman certification or equivalent technical training required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and industrial power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and program control systems (MCCs, VFDs, sensors).
• Calibrate process instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature).
• Troubleshoot DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA systems.
• Document work in CMMS and ensure compliance with safety.
• Assist commissioning and optimization of mill and filter plant equipment.
