Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. seeks an OTR Tire Technician for the North Antelope Rochelle Mine in Wright, WY. You will service large earthmoving tires, dismount/mount tires, and support maintenance to keep equipment available for production targets.

Two years' tire tech experience in mining is preferred. Training toward TIA 200 Level and ETS200 Mine Spec will be provided with coverages. Join a safety-first team with opportunities to grow and train in a major coal operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience as a tire technician, preferably in mining.
• Ability to operate tire manipulators, forklifts and service trucks.
• Expected to obtain a TIA 200 Level Online Training Certificate within 6 months of starting (Peabody covers training costs).
• If you have the TIA 200 Level Online Training Certificate, expected to obtain the ETS200 Mine Spec Hands On Training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values.
• Adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System.
• Inspect work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects.
• Perform tire service and maintenance for large earthmoving tires, including dismounting, mounting and repairs.
• Operate heavy-duty tire service equipment and tools to maintain mining tires.
• Collaborate with mine maintenance staff to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure tire inspections and maintenance programs are performed on-site to high standards.
• Conduct tire inspections, equipment checks and maintenance tasks.
• Take tread depth measurements and pressure readings on heavy equipment.
• Train other personnel or apprentices if required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
