Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited seeks a Mining Mechanical Engineer for a direct-hire role at a mine operation in upstate New York, within 2 hours of the Thousand Islands. You will plan power, water, ventilation, and drainage systems and manage distribution networks for surface and underground equipment.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in mining or industrial settings, a degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering, and experience with Deswik or Ventsim.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in mining or industrial environments.
• Engineering degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical field.
• Experience with Deswik and/or Ventsim preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English; report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Short, mid, and long-range planning for power, water, ventilation, and drainage systems.
• Manage high-voltage electrical networks, substations, and backups.
• Design underground pumping networks for water removal and recycling.
• Oversee ventilation systems and perform monthly surveys.
• Coordinate with all departments and perform other duties as assigned.
