Job summary

Imerys in Quincy, WA is seeking a Mine Manager to lead all mine operations, deliver ROM ore to the plant, and drive safety, efficiency, and compliance. Relocation assistance is provided to welcome you to the Cascade foothills.

You will manage ore control, planning, equipment, budgets, and multi-site supervision while partnering on reclamation, water recycling, and regulatory monitoring. A BS in Mining or related field and at least 2 years of supervision are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mining Engineering, Minerals Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of mine operations, planning, and maintenance experience.
• Proven supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficient in mine planning software, AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent ROM quality and ore balance to the plant through effective ore control, sampling, and data management.
• Develop and maintain short-to-medium term mine plans aligned with long-term guidance, including pushbacks and exploration.
• Oversee all mine operations: crushing & screening, mobile equipment, surveying, waste management, and grounds maintenance.
• Lead health, safety, and environmental compliance (MSHA 30 CFR, APCD permits, fugitive emissions control).
• Manage salaried and hourly teams, schedules, maintenance, and performance to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Prepare capital expense requests (CERs), annual budgets, and participate in cost reviews and staff meetings.
• Partner on reclamation plans, water recycling systems, and regulatory monitoring equipment.

We’re looking for a Mine Manager to lead all mine operations, delivering consistent quality Run of Mine (ROM) ore to the production facility while driving safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure consistent ROM quality and ore balance to the plant through effective ore control, sampling, and data management
