Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at the Morenci, Arizona complex to oversee the safe, efficient operation of a work unit. You will supervise staff, implement production plans, and ensure compliance with safety procedures while managing resources and inspections.

The role requires supervisory experience and a mining-related technical degree or equivalent experience; on-site work is expected with housing support options for on-site staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and five years of related operational experience including supervisory or lead experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical mining-related discipline with at least one internship in a mining or industrial environment including supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit and supervise staff.
• Implement production plans according to approved schedules and perform daily operational duties.
• Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify problems, and direct remedial action.
• Prepare staffing, materials, and equipment estimates; maintain inventories and approve purchases.
• Manage time, materials, and equipment use reports; train staff in safety procedures.
• Maintain safety data sheets and perform other duties as required.
