Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Light Vehicle Maintenance Technician to support the Cortez team. You will maintain tires on mine equipment and light vehicles, ensure proper air pressures and tread depths, and perform routine preventive maintenance to keep fleets ready for operations.

The role requires the ability to work safely with minimal supervision and communicate effectively across teams, including night and day shift rotations.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
• Effective communication with a wide variety of people

Responsibilities

• Maintain tires on mine equipment, passenger light vehicles, and off-road vehicles
• Maintain correct air pressures and tread depths
• Inspect and replace worn or failed tires
• Repair repairable tires and install replacements
• Perform routine maintenance for availability and safety of fleets
• Keep shop areas and tooling clean and organized
• Conduct daily pre-shift inspections and participate in safety processes
• Perform other duties as assigned
