Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead mining infrastructure initiatives from concept through construction and commissioning.

You will develop CAPEX/OPEX estimates, cost models, and execution plans while coordinating with engineers, consultants, and field teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related engineering field and at least 5 years of experience in mining or heavy industry, with travel to mine sites and project locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Mining, Electrical, Construction Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering/project experience in mining, heavy industrial, infrastructure or construction.
• Experience developing capital cost estimates and project budgets.
• Strong understanding of drawings, take-offs, and construction methodologies.
• Experience with consultants, contractors, and vendors; proficient in Excel and cost management tools.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of mining infrastructure projects including roads, site facilities, water systems, power, camps, warehouses, workshops, tailings and processing-related infrastructure.
• Develop scopes, design criteria, specifications, and project execution plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, EPC/EPCM and construction contractors.
• Prepare and maintain capital and operating cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Identify cost risks and value-engineering opportunities; track costs and change orders.
• Support feasibility studies, permitting, and board presentations; travel to site as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company requirements; promote safe, cost-effective solutions.
