Placements24 is supporting a client in Welkom, Free State, seeking an Industrial Cleaning Specialist to maintain clean, safe mining infrastructure. The role requires rigour, adherence to HSE protocols and capability to operate heavy cleaning equipment.

You will perform cleaning of industrial equipment and plant areas, handle hazardous materials safely, and participate in safety trainings. A physically demanding but rewarding position with opportunities for skills development.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in industrial cleaning, preferably mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Hazardous materials handling certification is advantageous.
• Proficiency operating industrial cleaning machines and equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to strict protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition for demanding tasks, including work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Understanding of safety regulations relevant to the mining industry in Welkom.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts.

Aufgaben

• Perform specialized cleaning of industrial equipment, machinery, and plant infrastructure.
• Safely handle and dispose of industrial waste and hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as high-pressure washers, vacuum systems, and chemical sprayers.
• Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify cleaning needs and potential hazards.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Follow detailed work instructions and safety plans for each cleaning task.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working order and report any malfunctions.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness in support areas such as workshops and change houses.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and local regulations in the Free State.
• Participate in safety training and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and best practices.
