Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an HVAC Technician to join our team in Carlin, NV. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and operation of HVAC systems within a mining operation.

You will work closely with plumbing teams, read schematics, and braze copper lines. Candidates should have a minimum high school diploma and HVAC credentials, plus tolerance for weekend work and travel in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• 2 years previous HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 4 years mining experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required.
• Perform duties with integrity under minimal supervision required.
• Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently required.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with customer service focus required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required.
• Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required.
• Good attendance and performance records required.
• Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and concerns.
• Repair HVAC systems and operate equipment and tools.

• Coordinate with plumbing to support water supply and ventilation tasks.
