Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our mining operations on site in Nevada. You will maintain and repair industrial HVAC systems, read schematics, and work with plumbing teams to ensure proper ventilation and safety across facilities.

Your duties include preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs with a focus on reliability. Come work in a dynamic, collaborative team within a leading mining company.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred.
• 2 years HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 4 years mining experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 90 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and concerns.
• Repair HVAC systems and components.
• Operate HVAC equipment and tools safely.
• Collaborate with team members on projects.
• Coordinate with plumbing to support ventilation and water supply.
• Read schematics for HVAC systems.
• Repair and braze copper lines as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an HVAC Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and effectively perform preventative maintenance on industrial, commercial and residential HVAC systems
• Safely and effectively diagnose HVAC problems and concerns
• Safely and effectively repair HVAC systems
• Safely and effectively operate HVAC equipment and tools
• Work closely with all team members on completing projects
• Work closely with Plumbing technicians to perform needed water supply, ventilation and repairs
• Accurately read schematics for HVAC systems
• Repair and braze copper lines associated with HVAC systems
• Preform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• HVAC certification preferred.
• 2 years previous HVAC experience is preferred
• Valid drivers’ license is required
• 4 years Mining experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required
• Perform job responsibilities with integrity under minimal to no supervision required
• Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required
• Excellent organizational, time management skills required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently required
• Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, with a courteous and pleasant customer service focus required
• Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required
• Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required
• Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards required
• Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required
• Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements. The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
