Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Elko, Nevada is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for the maintenance of mining facilities in outdoor conditions. This role requires strong skills in electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction. The technician will work closely with HVAC technicians and must possess a valid driver’s license. Qualifications

• 2 years previous construction and maintenance experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 4 years Mining experience is preferred.
• CDL preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively perform maintenance on industrial, commercial and residential facilities.
• Safely and effectively perform facility repair and remodeling.
• Safely and effectively operate excavation equipment and tools.
• Accurately read blueprints for facilities.

Skills

Electrical experience / training

Plumbing, carpentry, welding, concrete and HVAC knowledge

Excellent organizational, time management skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

Excavation equipment experience

Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds

Education

High School diploma or GED

Tools

SAP knowledge
