Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. is seeking a service technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Caterpillar and allied machines in a shop environment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and power train failures, interpret schematics, and communicate equipment status and recommendations to clients and management. The role requires a High school diploma or GED, a current driver’s license, and at least 6 months related experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate information clearly to clients and management.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting procedures.
• Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Learn Empire, Caterpillar procedures and systems.
