Careermine is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Leer South Mining Complex in Philippi, WV. The role involves operating multiple heavy machines, participating in the STEEL safety program, and performing routine maintenance on mining equipment.

The operator will work in adverse conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and inclement weather, with rotating shifts. Reporting to the Refuse Site Supervisor, the position requires reliability and strong teamwork to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple heavy equipment on refuse impoundment (e.g., haul trucks, dozers, grader, loader).
• Perform safety observations under the STEEL program and communicate findings.
• Dozer work involving reclamation of slopes and grading.
• Fuel, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Assist with moving light plants and slurry lines; clean equipment as needed.
