Turner Staffing Group is seeking a traveling Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate a variety of mobile heavy equipment in mining operations. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and adherence to MSHA regulations while meeting daily production targets in a demanding field environment.

The position requires the ability to work day and night shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed, with a focus on maintaining equipment and supporting mine site tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in mining, quarry, construction, or similar industrial environments.
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of mobile equipment.
• MSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
• Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• Ability to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mobile equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Follow mine site safety procedures, policies, and MSHA regulations at all times.
• Work closely with supervisors, dispatch, and other team members to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain clean and orderly equipment cabs and work areas.
• Assist with general mine site tasks as needed to support operations.
