Job summary

Core Natural Resources, Inc. seeks an Equipment Operator to man heavy equipment on the Leer South Mining Complex in Philippi, WV. The role involves operating multiple machines, performing maintenance, and assisting with plant and slurry line movements.

You will participate in the STEEL safety program by conducting Rivets observations and communicating findings, while working rotating shifts in challenging outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have a work ethic that allows daily performance with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willing to work in adverse conditions including extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind.
• Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate a minimum of three heavy equipment pieces and support equipment on a refuse impoundment (e.g., 775 haul trucks, D-8 and D-6 dozers, 16G grader, 988H loader, vibrating roller).
• Participate in the STEEL safety program by performing Rivets observations and communicating findings.
• Dozer operation includes reclamation of slopes and running grade on fill.
• Fuel, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance checks on mining equipment.
• Assist with moving light plants and slurry lines.
• Clean equipment as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.
