Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mining Engineering undergraduate program with anticipated graduation May 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Mining Engineering and strong desire to develop skills for WSP’s projects.
• Ability to interact with engineering and non-engineering audiences professionally.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership and mentors.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and tools.
• Uphold workplace safety and WSP policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Mining Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Assist in desktop studies on geology, mine stability, excavation and minerals processing.
• Assist in technical reporting on client resources and reserves (e.g., NI-43-101/JORC).
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.
