Appalachian Aggregates, LLC, a CRH Company, seeks an Intern - Mining Engineer in Glade Spring, VA. The role offers exposure to multiple aspects of aggregate mining operations within a large, diversified organization.

You will work with staff on solutions, support monthly projections, and learn budgeting, production planning and field calculations while developing practical engineering skills in a real-world environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a mine engineering degree.
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with company staff to determine solutions to common issues.
• Assist Operations Manager with monthly projections.
• Learn administrative requirements of the business through hands‑on experience.
• Assist with field calculations and cost yields communication and accountabilities.
• Track fuel usage, hour meter readings and mileage for equipment.
• Shadow operations personnel to learn planning and objectives.
• Learn budgeting, production planning, staffing and inventory levels.
