Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Mining Engineer Intern to apply classroom knowledge in a field setting at Gordon, TX. You will support plant operations, assist with project work, and learn how quarry and aggregate sites run.

This paid internship targets current juniors and seniors in Mining Engineering or Geology, offering exposure to safety, production goals, and cross-functional teams. Intern events and ERG participation are included.

Qualifications

• Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage several projects and motivate teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Put your education into action in the field to support and participate in assigned project work.
• Support the plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments.
• Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry or aggregate site.
• Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job and functions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and company policies.
