Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC offers an internship in the Aggregates sector in Texas. You will put your education into action in the field to support project work and assist plant operations to achieve production goals.

You will collaborate with engineers, managers and production staff across departments, learning about safety, production, and quality processes. Juniors and seniors in Mining Engineering or Geology are welcome.

  • Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
  • Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.
  • Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.

What You'll Be Doing

Support the plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments. Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry or aggregate site. Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job and functions. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
