Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Mining Electrical Foreman to supervise electrical crews on active surface and underground mining projects, leading maintenance, construction, commissioning, outages, and repairs involving substations, MCCs, conveyors, crushers, pumps, and power distribution systems.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive mining electrical experience, and deep knowledge of NEC and MSHA requirements, with a focus on safety, planning, and collaboration with operations and customers.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of industrial/mining electrical experience.
• Experience supervising electricians in field operations.
• Knowledge of substations, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs and conveyors.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with MSHA regulations and NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians while maintaining safe and productive operations.
• Supervise electrical maintenance, construction, commissioning, outages, and shutdown activities.
• Plan labor, equipment, materials, and daily work schedules.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, NEC requirements, and site safety standards.
• Conduct safety meetings, JHAs, audits, and LOTO verification activities.
• Coordinate work with operations, maintenance, project management, and customers.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for mining electrical systems.
• Mentor and develop field personnel while monitoring quality and productivity.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and manpower tracking.
