Job summary

Solidus Resources is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a large-scale greenfield mining project in Lovelock, Nevada. You will lead electrical infrastructure from substations to end users, overseeing design, construction, commissioning, and startup.

You will coordinate with EPCM firms, contractors, and operations teams, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery of power systems and controls across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 7–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in mining, heavy industrial, or large infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting project development, construction, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and power lines.
• Experience with protection systems, relay coordination, arc flash analysis, and electrical safety practices.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
• Experience managing EPCM firms, contractors, and equipment vendors.

Responsibilities

• Act as the electrical engineering lead for site electrical infrastructure from substation to end user.
• Oversee design, construction, commissioning, and startup of electrical systems across the mine site.
• Review and manage electrical deliverables including single-line diagrams, load lists, power studies, equipment specs, and drawings.
• Provide technical oversight of MV/LV power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, and backup power systems.
• Coordinate EPCM partners, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure quality, schedule, and technical compliance.
• Lead FAT/SAT activities, commissioning, energization planning, and system startup.
