WSP is seeking a Mining Construction Administrative Assistantto provide onsite administrative, document control, and coordination in support of a large mining EPCM project inour growing Earth & Environment team. This full-time onsite position can be from anywhere in the United States with preference in Nevada, Utah, or near major mining projects. Travel per diem is available for those not local to the projects.
The full-time Construction Admin is key to an efficiently executed project by keeping the onsite construction management team informed, supported, and organized with accurate information and documentation.
Responsibilities include:
Support project administrative, document control, and coordination functions for the EPCM site team to include assisting with employee site onboarding and travel planning, tracking of equipment and training signoffs, maintaining and updating the WSP personnel rotation schedule, and helping prepare and submit employee expense reports.
Manage WSP fleet vehicles to include coordination with fleet management, maintenance, and upkeep of trucks.
Provide input into document control systems and processes and help implement these controls across all site personnel.
Help track daily field reports, time, and project-related equipment, supplies, and materials.
Work in close alignment with Site Services coordinator for the provisions associated with the temporary facilities supporting the site team to include ordering office supplies, water, etc.
Help drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are seeking self-motivated professionals with:
7+ years of relevant onsite experience in administrative assistant or other support roles on large-scale construction projects.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in active mining settings is preferred.
Commitment to safety. MSHA 48B Surface is required.
Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills with good working computer capabilities in MS Office products.
Technical editing and reporting formatting skills are desired.
Ability to communicate with designers, owners, contractors, and construction management team.
Able to walk distances on uneven sites, climb small ladders, and work in an active construction environment.
Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
