Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a dedicated minibus driver to transport program participants to and from sites, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for youth and families. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and positive interaction with staff, volunteers, and participants.

The position requires a valid driver's license, 2 years of driving experience, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications (within 60 days).

Qualifications

• Current driver's license required.
• Clear criminal background check including a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
• CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements is preferred.
• 2 years driving experience.
• 21 years of age.
• Certifications required within 60 days of hire; CPR/AED/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Drives minibus safely according to YMCA policies, procedures, and state laws.
• Maintains minibus in orderly and clean fashion.
• Completes thorough checks before and after every trip, recording all information.
• Records gas level, mileage, and maintenance on designated forms.
• Cleans minibus out each day, after last use.
• Promotes safety, keeping first aid supplies stocked.
• Announces minibus rules prior to departure for each trip.
• Develops friendly and positive relationships among staff, volunteers, parents, and children.
• Communicates regularly with other staff and supervisor.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

The driver creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while providing safe transportation of program participants to and from program sites while maintaining a supportive and positive atmosphere in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures.
