The Doe Run Company is seeking a Mine Trainee to learn how to perform any production job in the mine safely. This night shift position is located at Fletcher Underground in Centerville, MO.

Education & Experience requirements include a high school diploma (preferred), 0-6 months experience, and ability to obtain ATF clearance. Training emphasizes safety, productivity, and understanding the mining cycle from drilling to mucking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-6 months of work experience
• Ability to obtain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently hand scale or mechanically scale mine back and roof bolt, as needed.
• Crush ore and run skip pocket as needed.
• Gain a general knowledge of the mining cycle, including drilling, blasting, and mucking.
• Perform associated support jobs such as transportation of explosives, operating a forklift, and preventative maintenance.
• Learn basic maintenance, equipment cleaning, and underground housekeeping tasks needed to perform efficiently in the mine environment.
• Conduct a pre-shift and work area inspection to ensure the work location and the equipment are safe and functioning properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
