Job summary

Croell, Inc. in Rapid City, SD is seeking a General Laborer to support mine-site operations, operating tools and equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean job site. The role is full-time, seasonal with travel and overtime during peak season, reporting to the Foreman with no supervisory responsibilities.

The position requires readiness for inspections, basic maintenance tasks, and teamwork in challenging outdoor conditions. A $1500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment screen, Motor Vehicle Record request and drug test required.
• MSHA certification preferred.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Lift heavy objects, tear down, maintain, repair and clean equipment.
• Equipment operation experience.
• Understand instructions in written and verbal form.
• Dependability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
• Positive attitude for productive teamwork.
• Exposure to weather, outdoors, and varying conditions.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks on the mine site.
• Operate tools and equipment as needed.
• Welding/fabricating.
• Set up and tear down portable plants.
• Pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment.
• Assist in the field (moving equipment, cleaning sites, other duties).
• Operate a skid steer.
• Keep crusher areas clean and organized.
• Operate crusher machinery via computerized control panel.
• Work inside the enclosure to monitor machinery and crushing process.
• Troubleshoot and communicate issues with ground crew.
• Assist with machine maintenance and repairs and conveyor work.
• Set up/takedown crusher machinery, including cables, hoses, tarping, and material handling.
• Willingness to work outside normal scope and hours in poor weather.
