Job summary

Capstone Copper is seeking a Mine Services Supervisor to oversee shift-based support production equipment and ensure compliance with the plan, performance, and design specifications. You will lead Mine Technicians and uphold safety standards with the crew.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of mining experience with at least 2 years in a mine operations supervisory role, managing 8 to 15 direct reports.
• Knowledge of drill-blast-load-haul open pit mining sequence.
• Prior experience in a copper operation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Berm heights in working areas
• Daily Crew lineout safety toolbox talks and line-out
• Directly supervise Mine Technicians as assigned by Superintendent
• Drill Pad prep
• Dust Control
• Enter incident into company system with all evidence
• Evaluations for equipment operators
• Gather statements, pictures, paperwork and evidence for incidents
• Haul road improvement projects/work
• Key Cutting Management
• Minimizing wait to dump time at waste dumps
• Perform daily workplace examination of work area
• Pumping system movement or addition execution
• Tie-down organization
• Wall Scaling Management
• Administering positive recognition and discipline
• Ensure employees are out of the blast radius when required
• Haul road maintenance and improvements
• Tie-down execution of work
• Contractor management in area of work
• Mine standardization and beautification
• Performance KPIs in work area
• Be available on-call for their 7 day's night shift
• Hourly Payroll Management
