Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Security Operations Technician at our Nevada mine to support the security team in safeguarding personnel, property, and processes. The role involves monitoring access, CCTV, incident reporting, and coordination with the Security Supervisor in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires performing vehicle and area inspections, responding to emergencies, and maintaining clear, factual incident records.

Qualifications

• Must pass a security background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, and work safely on uneven terrain and outdoor surfaces.
• Must have functional computer skills and high typing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of vehicles, property, and high security areas.
• Be willing and able to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and adapt to abrupt schedule changes.
• Write reports on events of the day with factual, concise wording.
• Report on security events that affect personnel or property.
• Monitor the refinery security systems including alarms and video surveillance.
