The candidate will administer the safety program, conduct safety huddles, and ensure compliance with labor agreements and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent; underground mining experience may substitute.
• Strong knowledge of organizational methods and communication practices.
• Experience coordinating teams and maintaining safety and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly mine utility employees to meet production goals safely and cost-efficiently.
• Administer safety program and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic safety huddles and monthly safety meetings.
• Provide feedback to hourly employees and address concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements and address grievances at initial steps.
• Communicate and enforce company policies and directives.
• Control costs and maintain productivity with efficient work practices.
• Coordinate training to raise overall skill levels of the team.
• Foster cooperative teamwork across subgroups and departments.
• Maintain smooth information flow through effective communication.
