Qualifications

About the Role

The Mine Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, resource management, operational execution, and fostering a strong safety culture. You will lead a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, geologists, supervisors, and operational staff, driving performance and continuous improvement. This is an on-site role demanding exceptional leadership qualities, a deep understanding of mining processes, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a mine management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mining operations (open-pit or underground).
• Extensive knowledge of mining methods, equipment, safety regulations, and environmental best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&Ls.
• Proficiency in mine planning software and operational management systems.
• Ability to make sound decisions in complex and challenging environments.
• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
