Job summary

Qualifications

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the mine manager leads a team of more than 10 employees with responsibility for mining operations, mobile equipment and crushing performance: running safe mining and crushing operations in compliance with MSHA and environmental requirements, implementing mine plans, contributing to five-year planning and delivering annual material movement targets while protecting reserve viability and product quality, managing mining and crushing budgets to reduce cost per tonne, and developing employees while working with maintenance teams to improve equipment availability. Requirements include at least five years in mining operations or mining engineering, including three to five years in leadership or supervision within underground mining or mineral processing, practical knowledge of mining production, crushing, process control and MSHA requirements, and experience managing budgets; a degree in mining or geology (or equivalent experience) is desirable, and availability for on-call duties and additional shifts is essential. The package includes a strong base salary, an annual bonus with a 20% target, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 401(k) and paid holidays.
