Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Elko, NV is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer I for the Cortez operation. You will support development of Maintenance Procedures, Standards, and Specifications to foster a reliability culture across the site.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with maintenance and operations, and proven ability to analyze equipment performance. Join a company committed to safety and sustainable mining practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent reliability experience.
2+ years in operations, preferably mobile maintenance in mining.
Strong knowledge of RCA, FMEA, RCM, LEAN preferred.
Experience with CMMS and condition monitoring techniques such as oil and vibration analysis, thermography, or ultrasonics.

Responsibilities

Identify mobile equipment defects and prioritize reliability improvements.
Provide leadership and act as a salaried team member supporting core values.
Demonstrate teamwork and clear stakeholder communication in surface mine maintenance.
Develop maintenance procedures, standards, and specifications to sustain reliability culture.
Utilize SAP/S4HANA to record maintenance activity and report performance metrics.
Lead root cause analysis and reliability improvement projects.
