Job summary

MTW Employment Services is looking for an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician for the Greenstone Mine project. The role involves assisting in repairs and maintenance of heavy mining equipment, adhering to safety regulations, and completing necessary documentation.

Candidates should be enrolled in the Canadian Apprenticeship Program with experience in industrial settings. The position offers a salary range of $83,866.93 to $122,574.74, highlighting the importance of skilled technicians in our operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an industrial setting; mine site experience is an asset.
• Comfortable working at heights and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipment.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment

Familiarity with Komatsu, CAT, Epiroc equipment

Education

Enrolled in the Canadian Apprenticeship Program
