Kiewit Mining Group is seeking a Front Line Supervisor - Field Operations to oversee day-to-day field activities, supervising crews of up to 30. You’ll set safety, quality, schedule, performance, and team development expectations across sites.

The role requires a strong technical background in surface mining or heavy civil construction, excellent communication, and the ability to relocate to active job sites across North America.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as Front Line Supervisor in coal/metal/non-metal mines or heavy civil construction
• Familiar with MSHA operations
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated with initiative
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Demonstrated ethics and integrity
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to relocate to job sites
• Ability to travel on short notice
• Ability to work night/weekend shift
• Willingness to work across locations and conditions

Responsabilidades

• Direct supervision of an assigned crew of equipment operators
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of craft personnel (haul truck drivers, drillers, dozer operators, shovel/excavator, blade, scraper, etc.)
• Establish daily job assignments, authorize time off, complete performance assessments, initiate disciplinary actions
• Maintain open communication with crews, field engineers/coordinators, maintenance, safety, and quality
• Assist in preparing work plans and scheduling manpower, materials, and equipment
• Examine field conditions, troubleshoot problems, implement cost-saving measures
• Monitor and adhere to budgetary guidelines and cost controls
• Monitor job safety and provide safety training and awareness
• Monitor quality standards and ensure specifications are met
• Assist with developing job schedules and coordinate with contractors and suppliers
• Advise management of potential problems and assist in resolution
