SSR Mining’s Summer Internship Program is designed for highly motivated students who are currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited, four-year college or university in North America. Interns gain hands-on experience in their field of study while working alongside industry professionals.
The Mine Engineer Intern will support the Technical Services team at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, contributing to various technical projects and gaining exposure to real-world mine engineering in an open-pit gold mining environment.
Assist with and contribute to small-to-medium-sized engineering projects aligned with department goals.
Perform technical research and analysis; compile findings and draw meaningful conclusions.
Prepare, summarize, and present performance metrics and technical reports as required.
Support day-to-day activities of the Technical Services department and perform additional duties as assigned.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
Understanding of basic engineering principles and practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to open-pit, hard rock mining operations.
Familiarity with Hexagon MineSight and AutoCAD.
Exposure to Dispatch Fleet Management Systems.
Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 20 years of age.
Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Hands-on experience at an active gold mining operation.

Base Pay: $ 32.71/hr.
