Job summary

NACCO Natural Resources is seeking a Regular employee to safely perform surface coal mine electrical maintenance and construction. The role requires repairing and inspecting electrical mining equipment, and working with various voltages across mine facilities.

The position emphasizes compliance with MSHA regulations, safety procedures, and environmental rules, with opportunities to support other maintenance personnel and operate heavy equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, or 2 or more years of experience is required.
• Must hold MSHA electrical certification (green card), or have experience and knowledge to obtain certification in 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Repairs electrical mining equipment and facilities.
• Performs electrical inspections on mine equipment and facilities.
• Works with different voltages in electrical systems.
• Performs job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and State and Federal environmental regulations.
• Assist other maintenance personnel as assigned.
• Operate personnel lifts, forklifts, loaders, and other equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
