Job summary

Westmoreland Mining LLC is seeking an electrical maintenance professional for surface coal mining operations. Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection and cleaning of all electrical equipment, with the ability to operate equipment used to move cable and portable gear.

Ideal candidates will have surface coal mine electrical maintenance experience and MSHA certification, with strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, test procedures and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Surface coal mine electrical maintenance experience required or preferred
• Strong working knowledge of AC and DC theory and equipment
• Knowledge of test procedures, safe work practices, and electrical codes
• Experience with low, medium and high voltage equipment and electronic controls as applied to large mining equipment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection and cleaning of all electronic and electrical equipment
• Operate equipment necessary to move cable and portable equipment
