Job summary

TCI Technology Consulting Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Pharmacist in Milwaukee, WI to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role requires dispensing medications, counseling patients, and ensuring regulatory compliance on-site.

A PharmD or equivalent degree and an active WI license are required. The ideal candidate will monitor medication therapies, advise on drug interactions, and provide patient services while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with healthcare

Qualifications

• PharmD degree or equivalent.
• Active WI pharmacist license (required).
• Experience with compounding infused drugs is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure supply of medicines complies with the law.
• Ensure medicines prescribed are suitable for patients.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients about medications, dosages, side effects, and interactions.
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications, storage, and dosage.
• Offer patient services such as smoking cessation, BP measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on handling medical devices such as BP monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions following procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
