Job summary

Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, is seeking an Exercise Specialist for a Milwaukee fitness center. You will conduct fitness consultations, design progressive programs, and coach members on equipment use to promote healthy lifestyle goals.

Ideal candidates hold a related degree or a NCCA certification, current CPR/First Aid, and strong MS Office skills, with a focus on client care and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are current.
• Knowledge of exercise testing and prescription and ability to operate fitness equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations, movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting to tailor programming.
• Develop progressive fitness programming to motivate participants and ensure a positive experience.
• Monitor and instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flex and strength equipment.
