Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage weekly and biweekly payroll for a multi-state workforce. You will review deductions, ensure accurate payroll totals, and collaborate with the HR department on policy questions. This role supports associates across locations and participates in annual audits.

The position requires an understanding of HRIS/Payroll systems (PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP) and strong attention to detail. Local candidates within 2.5 hours of Milwaukee are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with payroll concepts, deductions, and tax rules.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and HRIS databases.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff.
• Review deductions and verify payroll totals for accuracy.
• Prepare payroll data exports for outside service providers and runs of direct deposits.
• Update pay, time-off, and W-4 changes as needed.
• Answer management and employee payroll questions; assist with audits and accounting tasks.
