Job summary

Lee Industrial Contracting, based in Pontiac, Michigan, is seeking a mechanically skilled technician to transport, install, and dismantle machinery and conveyor systems on job sites, using forklifts, hoists, winches, cranes, and rigging as directed.

You will read design layouts and blueprints, measure with micrometers to achieve tight tolerances, lead an apprentice on smaller projects, and ensure a clean, safe worksite while supporting various heavy industrial equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with common hand tools and measurement skills.
• Rigger 1 certification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work at height.

Responsibilities

• Transport and position machines per floor plans using forklifts and cranes.
• Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and conveyor systems.
• Use micrometers and precision tools to meet tight tolerances.
• Lead an apprentice on smaller projects.
• Read and interpret design layouts and blueprints.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site; follow safety standards.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support teamwork across multiple projects.
• Fuel and wash department vehicles.
