Job summary

Lee Industrial Contracting is seeking skilled apprentices to join our team in Holly, Michigan. As an employee-owned contractor, we emphasize safety, teamwork, and craftsmanship on equipment installation, maintenance, and fabrication projects.

You will support machinists and foremen across sites, follow precise instructions, and contribute to clean, organized work areas while learning from experienced tradespeople.

Qualifications

• Inspect mechanical or industrial equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear, disassemble and repair stamping presses.
• Basic understanding of piping - lube system repairs, thread pipe, tubing and steam fitting work.
• Reading blueprints and job layouts; precise measurement of machine components.
• Align, level and anchor machinery.
• Understand rigging procedures for load handling, and safety considerations.
• Arc welding and torch cutting experience.
• Familiar with pneumatic and hydraulic schematic reading.
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Support other apprentices, machinists, and lead machinists on various projects
• Follow instructions from foreman and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Keep the job site clean and well-organized
• Handle the loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
• Ensure attention to detail and follow safety standards
