Job summary

AK Industrial Contractors, Inc. is seeking a skilled millwright for on-site installation of mechanical equipment in Central Arkansas. The candidate will read installation drawings and specifications, align and level equipment, and operate hand and power tools to ensure precise fit.

You'll join a team and must pass background and drug screenings, with OSHA 10 preferred. Local candidates or reliable commuting to the Central Arkansas area are favored.

Qualifications

• Previous millwright, mechanical equipment installation or industrial assembly experience.
• Ability to read and follow installation drawings, specifications and written procedures.
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches and precision measuring tools.
• Experience with equipment positioning, fit-up, alignment, leveling and fastening.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, material carts and compact lifting equipment.
• Ability to inspect equipment and components for damage before installation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to safely perform repetitive lifting and equipment positioning as part of a three-to-five-person team using mechanical aids.
• Must follow all PPE, site-safety and equipment-handling requirements.
• OSHA 10 training preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual and able to work effectively with project supervision and OEM technicians.
• Must be able to pass background check
• Must be able to pass drug uranalysis screening
• Prefer Local to the Central Arkansas area or able to commute reliably

Responsibilities

• Install millwright or industrial equipment following drawings and specs.
• Position, align and level equipment for secure fit.
• Operate pallet jacks, carts and lifting equipment safely.
• Inspect components for damage prior to installation.
• Maintain quality workmanship with attention to detail.
• Work in a 3-5 person team using mechanical aids.
• Follow PPE and site safety requirements.
• Pass background and drug screenings.
• Collaborate with supervision and OEM technicians.
