Job summary

Voith Paper West Monroe, LA is hiring a Millwright to inspect, repair, and reassemble paper machine rolls in an industrial environment. The role involves operating mechanical tooling and overhead cranes while upholding strict safety standards.

Candidates may be experienced industrial/heavy equipment mechanics or trainees; a high school diploma is preferred but may be offset by experience. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Industrial/heavy equipment mechanic experience or trainee as detailed under general responsibilities.
• High school diploma preferred but not required based on experience and Voith management assessment.
• Willing to work overtime and possible shift work.
• Ability to operate in industrial conditions with proper safety training.

Responsibilities

• Set up, disassemble/reassemble, inspect, and repair paper machine rolls of various sizes.
• Perform repairs safely and in line with Voith Paper quality standards.
• Operate tooling such as drills, taps, pullers, bearing heaters, presses, and hydraulic test units.
• Use micrometers to measure inside/outside diameters.
• Assist with housekeeping and safety compliance in an industrial setting.
