Job summary

T. Parker Host’s United Bulk Terminals in Davant, Louisiana, seeks Millwright Mechanics to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair critical cargo-handling machinery. You’ll work at one of the largest bulk terminals in the U.S. Gulf, on rotating shifts within a safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates bring advanced millwright skills, welding/fabrication (ARC, MIG), and the ability to read drawings and specs. TWIC access, physicals, and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in millwright duties.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication (ARC, MIG).
• Proficient in hydraulic/pneumatic principles and application.
• Understanding of lubricants and maintenance best practices.
• Knowledge of machinery alignments (manual and laser).
• Ability to read specifications, service literature, and engineering drawings.
• Skilled with precision measuring devices (metric and standard).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/air tools, cranes, rigging.
• Experience with heavy equipment (Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Manitowoc).
• Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to attain and maintain a TWIC card.
• Successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights up to 130 feet.
• Ability to work in dusty environments and all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery at United Bulk Terminals in Davant, LA.
• Support cargo handling equipment at a major bulk terminal facility.
