The INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA business is a major participant in the North American chemical industry, with an annual manufacturing capacity of 9.6 billion pounds of petrochemicals. Manufacturing sites include Chocolate Bayou Works (Alvin, TX), Battleground Manufacturing Complex (La Porte, TX), and Carson (Carson, CA), with a corporate office in League City, TX.

The 300-acre INEOS Battleground Manufacturing Complex (BMC) was originally built in 1956 and is located on the Houston ship channel east of Houston, Texas. It produces both high-density polyethylene and polypropylene, with capacities of approximately 320 million pounds per year for polypropylene and about 3 billion pounds per year for polyethylene across seven lines. The site features a state-of-the-art technical center integrating research, development, technical services, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Understand and implement the INEOS 20 Principles.
• Work safely in a complex mechanical facility handling large quantities of flammable materials.
• Participate in behavior-based safety processes.
• Follow standard procedures to ensure safety, environmental compliance, and high-quality work.
• Measure mechanical parameters, compare to standards, and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Record key measurements to analyze failures and develop improvements.
• Troubleshoot operational issues with rotating equipment.
• Remove and install equipment, including alignment and testing for proper operation.
• Work effectively in a team environment to complete daily tasks.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve plant availability.
• Identify appropriate spare parts for equipment.
• Interpret drawings, P&ID’s, and manuals.
• Assemble complex gearboxes, pumps, compressors, blowers, airlocks, centrifuges, and extruding equipment with precision.

Skills & Knowledge Required - Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment; polymer plant experience preferred.
