Job summary

Arauco Grayling is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain and improve mill equipment on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule (6:45–6:45). The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on maintenance across mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and an apprenticeship or equivalent experience, with preference for 3+ years in industrial maintenance and welding/fabrication skills. Strong problem solving is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical maintenance experience.
• Three+ years industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and lubrication principles.
• Ability to read mechanical and hydraulic drawings.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Post-offer drug screen, background check, and physical capability assessment.
• Preferred: manual machining experience with conventional lathes, mills, and drill presses.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns promptly and coordinate with area operators.
• Prioritize safety for yourself and coworkers.
• Investigate root cause of equipment failure and recommend fixes.
• Lead troubleshooting and document SAP Notifications.
• Complete PM/PD work orders and verify completion.
• Maintain awareness of maintenance issues throughout the mill.
• Collaborate with operations, peers, and supervisors.
